Mr. Eric Rwigamba has vast experience in the development and implementation of; Financial Sector policies, Strategies, Legislations and corporate Business planning. In addition, I have experience in Finance and accounting, Budgeting and control, SMEs investment, Taxation and Auditing, investigation as well as Due diligence. I have also carried out training on business plan, Accounting and Auditing, project management and credit and risk management. I have also acquired experience in development finance areas like financial inclusion, microfinance, financial education and capacity development.
He is the Director General of Financial Sector Development Directorate – MINECOFIN. He was the Ag. Technical Director and the Technical Manager for AFR in 2012, the General Manager/Country Manager (July 2008-August 2011) – GroFiN Rwanda, the Country Head, Audit and Compliance – Ecobank Rwanda, Audit senior and Audit assistant (August 2001-May 2005) – E&Y Uganda.
He’s a Board member of Development Bank of Rwanda (BRD), a Board member and vice chair of Capital Market Authority (CMAC), and Advisory Board member of the Financial Intelligence Unit (under Central Bank of Rwanda).
He holds a Master’s degree from Oklahoma Christian University – USA in Business Administration (MBA Finance), Management and Accountancy Training College – Kampala, Uganda, ACCA (UK), Bachelor of Commerce/finance – Makerere University – Kampala, Uganda
