
Unlocking Livelihoods through Financing Women-owned MSEs
Project objective:
This project aims to support women’s economic empowerment by expanding the usage of high-value financial services in the context of women’s livelihoods. It is anchored on strengthening the capacity of financial service providers in designing and deploying women-centric financial services that substantially improve their lives and livelihoods. The project will be implemented under two interventions namely, demonstrating the viability of financial solutions supporting women’s livelihoods and support the evolution of gender-equal social norms.
Outcomes
At least 1000 MSEs across the country will use appropriate financial solutions piloted in the project
At least 60% of women supported through the Wisigara Mugore project will be economically empowered.
At least 4 knowledge products published to inform market actors on the viability of investing in women entrepreneurs (MSEs).
