Inclusive Policies and Regulations
AFR supports different stakeholders to strengthen their regulatory frameworks by developing policies, laws, and strategies to enhance Rwanda's enabling and inclusive financial sector environment.
Through strategic partnerships, we support regulators, policymakers, and market actors to develop and implement appropriate and forward-looking laws, regulations, national financial sector policies, and strategies that enhance innovation, consumer trust, and delivery of appropriate and customer-centric financial and long-term capital solutions for women, youth, refugees, persons with disabilities and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in productive sectors (Agriculture, Tourism and Hospitality, Light Manufacturing, among others). In addition, we collaborate with our stakeholders to ensure new laws, regulations, and policies are enacted, disseminated, implemented, and enforced, with wide uptake and adherence by Financial Service Providers (FSPs).
