The candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient transportation for professional purposes. They will operate AFR vehicles, adhere to traffic laws, and prioritize safety for themselves and others. Additionally, the driver will represent the brand, influencing customer perception through professionalism and behavior. Their role is crucial in maintaining smooth logistics, travel, and delivery operations, impacting both daily life and business functions
Specific Skills
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience, with a proven track record of driving high-profile personalities.
- Security training is an advantage (e.g., defensive driving, safety protocols).
- Ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Strong communication skills in at least one language: Kinyarwanda, English, French, or Swahili.
Desired Skills and Attributes
- Strong understanding of road safety and driving regulations.
- Excellent time management skills, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle unforeseen changes in schedules.
- A courteous and polite attitude, with the ability to interact professionally with staff and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of local road networks and routes.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Safely and efficiently drive the AFR’s staff and other engagements as directed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the vehicle.
- Ensure that the vehicle is well-maintained, and that regular checks and servicing are conducted.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a high standard of driving etiquette.
- Be available to work outside of normal working hours, as required by the work schedule.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive information and discussions while in transit.
- Assist with any logistics required for daily tasks (e.g., moving documents or light packages).
- Ensure the vehicle is always stocked with necessary items (e.g., first aid kit, phone charger, etc.).
- Ensure prompt reporting of any issues or concerns related to the vehicle or safety.
Educational Requirements
- At least a Primary School Certificate or equivalent.
