- About Hugues Kagame
Hugues Kagame is a Project Manager – Entrepreneurship Support with extensive experience managing initiatives that strengthen micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at Access to Finance Rwanda. He brings a strong background in project planning, policy implementation, stakeholder coordination, and results-based delivery, with a focus on entrepreneurship development, capacity building, and inclusive economic growth.
Hugues holds an MBA specialized in Project Management from the University of Lay Adventists of Kigali and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Sustainability at Nexford University. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), demonstrating his commitment to globally recognized project management standards and best practices.
Throughout his career, Hugues has worked closely with entrepreneurs, business development service providers, donors, and public and private sector partners including Rwanda Development Board, Inkomoko, and the Ministry of Trade and Industry to design and implement impactful MSME development programs. His key areas of expertise include project management, entrepreneurship ecosystem strengthening, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability-focused program design.
Hugues is passionate about leveraging structured project management approaches to drive sustainable development outcomes and empower entrepreneurs to create resilient and inclusive businesses for job creation.
